Courtesy Visit by IAEA Deputy Director General Herviou

• On February 10, Ms. Karine Herviou, IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Nuclear Safety and Security (DDG-NS), visited Japan.
• The IAEA expressed understanding for the Ministry of the Environment's efforts in the area of the managed recycling of removed soil and confirmed continued cooperation with the MOE.
• Following the exchange of view, DDG-NS Herviou along with IAEA staff visited the flower beds at the MOE building, confirming that the soil is being safely and appropriately utilized.
